For those of you that are regular readers you might notice that Blog o’ the week is now Blog o’ the month, it’s a bit slack of me I know, but there are so many things to make and so little time! But let me tell you all about Sprinkle Bakes - if you have not discovered this blog yet you are missing an absolute treat!
Imagine a baking blog written and photographed by an artist and how the combination of baking and art might meld and you have some idea of how Heather’s blog Sprinkle Bakes has come together. I’ve been keeping an eye on this fantastic baker and artist since her blog found it’s own corner on the internet and I am so glad I have. I’ve been enjoying her very regular blogging and baking efforts.
She is incredibly creative! She comes up with ideas that everyone else looks at and wishes they’d thought of first. Have a look at some of her creations to date.
These beautiful spiral cookies.
Mehndi Spice cookies painted with food colouring to make the henna
Mushroom cookies (they look so real!) and a cute little blue fondant caterpillar for an Alice in Wonderland themed party. Heather made a huge array of treats. Lucky little girl!
If you are feeling down or lacking in inspiration, pay her a visit. Her bright cookies and quirky creations will bring a smile to your face in no time. I actually sit in front of the computer and call over various family members to come and see what Heather’s made every time she makes a new post. She finds the most interesting recipes to make and adds her own creative touches to them.
There are some people that just shine on the internet and stand out among the crowd. Heather is one of those.
Hmm .. maybe I can get myself a commission in cookies from Sprinkle herself!
